In its dual capacity as a social institute of the Archdiocese of Paderborn and as a house of education, Kommende Dortmund is open to all those who are looking for orientation and solutions in the face of social upheaval and challenges: for themselves, in the world of work, in their companies and in society. It provides a framework for this and opens up spaces for dialogue at the interface of church and society, business and politics.

From the work and on the initiative of Kommende Dortmund, associations and the Kommende Foundation beneVolens were founded, which independently pursue special socio-ethical concerns in close coordination with Kommende.

As a certified ECOPROFIT® company, Kommende Dortmund, the social institute of the Archdiocese of Paderborn, is committed to the Christian mission of creation. Its guiding principle "Shaping society justly" explicitly includes "creation justice" as a corporate goal.
